Typisk mad fra regionen er:

  • Kaiserschmarrna fluffy, shredded pancake dish often served with fruit compote, powdered sugar, and sometimes a dollop of apple sauce or cranberry jam

  • Tyrolean dumplings (Tiroler Knödel)these are large, hearty dumplings made from bread, potatoes, or semolina and often served as a side dish to meats and stews

  • Zillertal Cheesethis cheese is produced in the Zillertal Valley and is a staple of Tyrolean cuisine. It has a strong flavor and is used in a variety of dishes, including in sandwiches or melted on top of potatoes

  • Schlutzkrapfen: Tyrolean ravioli filled with spinach and ricotta cheese, they are often served with melted butter and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese

  • Tafelspitza classic Tyrolean dish made from boiled beef, traditionally served with horseradish, apple sauce, and a variety of side dishes such as potatoes or vegetables

  • Strudelpopular dessert in Tyrol, particularly Apfelstrudel (apple strudel), made with a thin pastry filled with spiced apples, raisins, and cinnamon. It's often served warm with whipped cream
