Walking routes

There are many beautiful walking routes on Lanzarote. In the south you can walk across the volcanic landscape and in the north you will find beautiful valleys with breathtaking views.

For the best walks we recommend you go with a guide, who can take you places that you can’t get by yourself. On the Webshop (excursions.sunweb.com) you can find which guided walks we offer.

Here is a selection of low difficulty walks you can easily do without a guide:

  • Montaña Roja in Playa Blanca – climb up and walk around the crater for beautiful views over Playa Blanca and Fuerteventura
  • Papagayo Beaches in Playa Blanca – from Hotel Sandos Papagayo a trail leads you to the Papagayo Beaches
  • Puerto del Carmen to Puerto Calero – there is a coastal path between Puerto del Carmen and Puerto Calero. If you prefer not to walk back you can take a water taxi multiple times a day
  • Costa Teguise to Los Ancones – There is a nice coastal path if you leave Costa Teguise towards the north
  • Volcán el Cuervo in Tinajo – An impressive walk right into the volcanic crater
