We don't recommend you to ride a bike anywhere else than the proximity of their accommodation. There are no bike paths on the roadways, and the locals aren't used to see many bicycles on the road.
East Algarve (Altura, Castro Marim, Manta Rota, Monte Gordo, Santa Luzia Tavira, Tavira):
The eastern Algarve is great for cycling as it is a flat area. Through your tour guide, you can also rent bikes and request cycling routes. Always stay careful though.
