Events include the Carnival (usually in February), and the Fiesta de la Candelaria in nearby villages. For more info on local events, you can check the hotel or local tourism websites.

Carnaval: To celebrate the carnaval, Santa Cruz is one of the best places to visit. Usually this is in February. Carnaval is celebrated in Los Cristianos as well.   The dates change every year.

Semana Santa (Easter): During easter there are many celebrations on the island.

San Juan: is celebrated yearly on the 23nd of June to celebrate the arrival of the Summer and new beginnings. There will be fires on most of the beaches.

Fiesta de Virgen de la Candelaria: is on the 15th of August where the Patron Saint of Canary Islands is celebrated all over the Island.

All year round there are several ´Romeria´s´ all over the Island of Tenerife. This is a religious pilgrimage where they usually have a procession, music and they honor their Saint.
