Fallas
This typical Valencian fiesta is organized in honor of patron Saint Joseph. The local event takes place the week before 19-03. In the capital Valencia this is a huge festival. In Benidorm and Denia there are also many festivities during the week. In Calpe the festival is there but smaller.
Moros y Cristianos
In Benidorm and Calpe this fiesta is celebrated in October. The history of the region come to life with people dressed like Arab and Christians soldiers. During the festivities we can see the Moorish troops conquer the village, the fights and finally the Christian victory. Beautiful costumes and parades. Definitely worth a visit!
