Typical souvenirs

By buying a typical souvenir, you will bring a piece of Algarve home with you.

Typical souvenirs would be:

  • Cataplana pan - Made of copper, a pan to make great dishes with fish, seafood and/or meat.
  • Barcelos rooster - is a typical Portuguese souvenir and a symbol of luck and justice.
  • Cork - from bottle cork to fun accessories such as a bag or bracelet made from cork.
  • Honey - delicious local honey in cute jars.
  • Piri Piri - bottle of the spicy typical Portuguese sauce.
  • Pottery - beautifully hand-painted with traditional decorations.
  • Amarguinha liqueur - delicious almond liqueur from the Algarve.
  • Can of sardines with your birth year on it.
  • Flor do sal - The top layer of the salt pans found on the Algarve coast. The best salt you can buy.
  • Embroidered linen - on sale in the market or in a local shop.
