We don't recommend you to ride a bike anywhere else than the proximity of their accommodation. There are no bike paths on the roadways, and the locals aren't used to see many bicycles on the road.

1. Lajares to El Cotillo (Coastal Route)

Distance: Approx. 12 km (one way)
Difficulty: Easy to moderate
Route Overview: This scenic biking route takes you from Lajares to El Cotillo, following mostly dirt roads and gravel paths. The ride offers beautiful views of volcanic landscapes and the coastline. Once in El Cotillo, you can relax at the beach or explore the town.
Start Point: Lajares
End Point: El Cotillo
Road Type: Dirt roads and gravel paths
 Recommended Bike: Mountain bike or hybrid

 

2. Lajares Volcano Loop (Calderón Hondo)

Distance: Approx. 8 km (loop)
Difficulty: Moderate
Route Overview: This circular route takes you around Calderón Hondo, one of the best-preserved volcanoes in Fuerteventura. It is a great way to experience the island’s volcanic terrain while enjoying some mild climbs and descents. The trail consists of gravel and sandy paths, making it ideal for mountain biking.

Road Type: Gravel and sandy paths
 Recommended Bike: Mountain bike
