Suonen Trail Saas‑Almagell → Saas‑Grund

• Difficulty: Easy.

• Distance: 6.2 km.

• Description: A historic “bisse” trail (irrigation canal) that passes cultural and historic buildings, incl. a bridge over the Almagellerbach, old water conduits, and hamlets like Unter den Bodmen, Zer Brigge, and Ze Laubinu, ending near the “Gasse” area in Saas‑Grund.

Höhenweg Allmagelleralp

• Difficulty: Intermediate.

• Distance: ~11.07 km.

• Duration: ~ 3 h 15 min.

• Description: A panoramic high-altitude hike from Kreuzboden (gondola station) along alpine flanks. Offers spectacular views of the Saas Valley, the glaciated Mischabel massif (including the Dom), and traverses exposed ridges, returning via the Almageller side valley. Includes adventure trail parts with two long suspension footbridges.

Scenic Trail Saas‑Grund → Kreuzboden

• Difficulty: Medium.

• Distance: 5.54 km.

• Duration: ~2 h 30 min.

• Description: Starts in Saas‑Grund (valley station), goes via “Unter dem Berg” to Ziebel playground, then zigzags up through forest and alpine meadows to Triftalp, and finally to Kreuzboden (with lake, views, and adventure playground).

Mountain Trail Saas‑Grund → Kreuzboden

• Difficulty: Challenging (“heavy” in their classification).

• Distance: 6.47 km.

• Duration: ~ 3 h 15 min.

• Description: From the Saas‑Grund car park of the Hohsaas cable car, the trail goes north to “Unter dem Berg,” passes Ziebel, then heads up through the Tewald forest to Triftalp and further via zigzags to Kreuzboden.
