Biking routes

We don't recommend you to ride a bike anywhere else than the proximity of their accommodation. There are no bike paths on the roadways, and the locals aren't used to see many bicycles on the road.

Cycling in Son Bou and around Menorca offers a mix of coastal roads and inland routes.

  • Camí de Cavalls: A historic trail around the island, partly rideable by mountain bike (MTB) in sections.
  • Road cycling: Quiet country roads connect Son Bou with Alaior, Mahón, and other towns.
  • Terrain: Rolling hills with some climbs; suitable for intermediate cyclists.
  • Bike rental: Available in nearby towns and tourist areas.
  • Tip: A road bike is suitable for paved routes, while a mountain bike or hybrid is better for off-road sections.
