Bus
You can give the bus driver cash in EGP as payment for the bus ride. Ask the driver to call out your stop when you need to get off.
In Marsa Alam there is only local mini busses. Minibuses don’t have formal stops; instead, they pick up and drop off passengers along main roads. Sunweb will not recommend to use the local busses,as its primarily for locals and can be crowded.
Taxi
You can request a taxi from the front desk of your accommodation or restaurant to get a fixed price. Before you get in the taxi, you must inform the driver of your direction. Ask the taxi driver to activate the Taximeter, and when you reach your destination, you pay the amount of the ride which is indicated on the screen. Additionally, you and the taxi driver can agree on an amount to pay before getting in the taxi. You can pay with cash. If you need a receipt, remember to ask the driver if it is possible to get it, before the ride starts.
