Bus
Taking a local bus in Playa San Juan, Tenerife, is easy and convenient. Tenerife has a reliable public transport network managed by TITSA, the island's main bus company. Here's how you can do it:
Find the Nearest Bus Stop: Playa San Juan has a main bus stop located in the center of the town, usually near the beach promenade or main square. Look for green TITSA bus signs.
Plan Your Route: Popular routes from Playa San Juan: Route 473: Connects Playa San Juan to Los Cristianos via Adeje. Route 477: Offers a quicker connection between Playa San Juan and Los Cristianos. Route 325: Travels to Puerto de la Cruz via Santiago del Teide and Icod de los Vinos.
Use TITSA’s official website or the Moovit app for schedules and routes.
Buy a Ticket or Card: You can buy a ticket directly from the driver (cash only), but it's more economical to get a Tenerife Ten+ (TenMas) card or use a contactless payment method (credit/debit card). Ten+ cards can be purchased at bus stations, kiosks, or shops displaying the Ten+ logo.
Taxi
You can request a taxi from the front desk of your accommodation or restaurant. You may also wait for a taxi at the taxi rank.
Before you get in the taxi, you must inform the driver of your direction. Ask the taxi driver to activate the Taximeter, and when you reach your destination, you pay the amount of the ride which is indicated on the screen. Additionally, you and the taxi driver can agree on an amount to pay before getting in the taxi. You can pay with cash. If you need a receipt, remember to ask the driver if it is possible to get it, before the ride starts.
