Catching a bus from Playa Meloneras is fairly straightforward, as the public transportation system in Gran Canaria is well-connected and reliable. Here’s how you can catch a bus:

Bus Station Location: The main bus stop near Playa Meloneras is located near the Meloneras Shopping Center or close to the Lopesan Costa Meloneras Resort. This is where most buses stop, and it’s easy to find.

Bus Line Options:

If you're heading to nearby places like Maspalomas, Playa del Inglés, or San Agustin, buses typically run frequently. The bus routes such as Line 30 (to Maspalomas) or Line 90 (to Playa del Inglés) are popular.

For longer trips, there are buses that go to Las Palmas (the capital of Gran Canaria), or even Puerto de Mogán (if you're planning a visit there).

Timetables: It's a good idea to check the bus schedules in advance, as timings can vary depending on the day and time. You can usually get information from the bus stop itself or from the local tourist information center.

Tickets: You can pay for your ticket directly on the bus. Some buses only accept cash, but many buses also have a "Tarjeta Azul" (Blue Card) for frequent travelers, which provides discounted fares.

Taxi

You can request a taxi from the front desk of your accommodation or restaurant. You may also wait for a taxi at the taxi rank.

Before you get in the taxi, you must inform the driver of your direction. Ask the taxi driver to activate the Taximeter, and when you reach your destination, you pay the amount of the ride which is indicated on the screen. Additionally, you and the taxi driver can agree on an amount to pay before getting in the taxi. You can pay with cash. If you need a receipt, remember to ask the driver if it is possible to get it, before the ride starts.
