Bus

You can pay the bus driver in cash (euros) for the bus ride. Be sure to ask the driver to announce your stop when it's time for you to get off.

  • Payment Methods: Bus tickets are usually purchased directly from the driver in cash (euros).

  • Bus System: The bus system in Fuerteventura is reliable, and the routes connect major towns and tourist spots. However, services can be limited during certain hours or on holidays. It's best to check the schedule ahead of time.

Taxi

You can request a taxi from the front desk of your accommodation or restaurant. You may also wait for a taxi at the taxi rank.

Before you get in the taxi, you must inform the driver of your direction. Ask the taxi driver to activate the Taximeter, and when you reach your destination, you pay the amount of the ride which is indicated on the screen. Additionally, you and the taxi driver can agree on an amount to pay before getting in the taxi. You can pay with cash. If you need a receipt, remember to ask the driver if it is possible to get it, before the ride starts.

  • Taxi System: Taxis in Fuerteventura operate with meters, but you can also agree on a fare with the driver before getting in.

  • Payment: You can pay with cash (euros) at the end of your journey. Most taxis do not accept card payments, so it is always a good idea to have cash available.

  • Receipts: If you require a receipt, ask the driver before the journey begins.

  • Fares: Taxi fares vary based on distance and time of day, but the fare is displayed on the meter when you reach your destination.
