In Port Ghalib, local buses are not as common or widely used as in larger cities.
Taxi
You can request a taxi from the front desk of your accommodation or restaurant. You may also wait for a taxi at the taxi rank.
Before you get in the taxi, you must inform the driver of your direction. Ask the taxi driver to activate the Taximeter, and when you reach your destination, you pay the amount of the ride which is indicated on the screen. Additionally, you and the taxi driver can agree on an amount to pay before getting in the taxi. You can pay with cash. If you need a receipt, remember to ask the driver if it is possible to get it, before the ride starts.
Most taxis in Port Ghalib do not have meters, so it’s important to agree on a price with the driver before starting the journey.
