eautiful little traditional villages and places can be discovered throughout Gran Canaria.

Please find below the selection we made for you:

  • Roque Nublo

One of the most remarkable icons of the island is located in the Tejeda region, situated centrally on Gran Canaria. Roque Nublo is a 67-meter-high volcanic rock rising to an impressive 1,813 meters above sea level. Only Pico de Las Nieves is higher, at 1,949 meters. Roque Nublo is surrounded by the protected Nublo Rural Park and has inspired numerous painters, writers, and composers.

  • Puerto de Mogan

Puerto de Mogan is a beautiful, authentic resort in the south-west of Gran Canaria. Still known for its lively marina and colourful cottages, this original fishing village is a popular spot among water sports enthusiasts. From Puerto Rico, you can take a boat to Mogan.

  • Baranco de las Vacas

The Baranco de las Vacas is located in the valley of Agüimes, in the south-east of Gran Canaria. It is a small colourful canyon that has been formed by water, wind and erosion over many years. Great picture possibilities guaranteed.

  • Firgas

Firgas is a beautiful town in the North of the island. It lies at an altitude of 465 meters and is well known for its water sources. The Gran Canaria Walkway and the Canarias Walkway, in the town centre have a natural incline which has served to construct a beautiful 30 metre long quarry stone cascade terminating in a beautiful monumentTo one side of the walkway 22 coats of armswhich represent all the municipalities of Gran Canaria, as well as the coat of arms of the islandhave been placed.

  • Las Palmas

The island's capital has a rich history and offers many attractions, such as the old quarter of Vegueta, with narrow streets and historic buildings. The Catedral de Santa Ana is an imposing cathedral worth a visit. The Museo Canario also offers an in-depth look at the indigenous culture of the Canary Islands.

  • The Dunes of Maspalomas

The impressive dunes reserve of Maspalomas is over 400 hectares and is unique in it’s kind. They provide a unique habitat on the island for African fauna including the giant lizard and several bird species. Right next to the Dunes there’s the 55 meter high lighthouse of Meloneras. Around the lighthouse you’ll find some nice shops and restaurants.

  • Galdar

Galdar was the old aboriginal capital of the island. You can still see part of its   ancestral past in the Painted Cave Archaeological Park in the centre of town. The church of Santiago de Galdar which shows a mixture of the baroque and neo-classical style is one of the  most beautiful in the Canaries. Just north of Galdar you’ll find some beautiful beaches and natural pools.
