Alpine cheese & bacon (Speck)

•    Regional cheeses such as Pinzgauer Almkäse or Bergkäse are very popular.

•    Smoked bacon (Speck) from local farmers is also a classic souvenir.

•    Often available at farm shops (Bauernladen) or markets in Saalbach/Viehhofen.

Schnaps & Liqueurs

•    Homemade schnapps (e.g., with herbs, berries, or plums) is a traditional gift.

•    Look for labels such as “Hausgemacht” or “Bauernschnaps” — these mean homemade.

Honey & herbal tea

•    Local beekeepers sell mountain flower honey and herbal tea made from Alpine herbs.

•    You can often find these at Almhütten or at markets during the Bauernherbst season.

Mozartkugeln

•    The world-famous chocolates with pistachio marzipan, from Salzburg.

•    Classic and easy to take with you.

Wood carvings & Christmas decorations

•    Hand-carved figurines, poinsettias, or mini alpine huts.

•    Often with Alpine motifs — ideal for your home.

Leather goods

•    Handmade leather belts, wallets, or even Lederhosen accessories.

•    Made by local artisans in the region.
