Local transport

Bus line 680 runs between Viehhofen and surrounding towns such as Zell am See / Hinterglemm, with journeys taking around 20 minutes.

During the winter sports season, there is a ski bus that runs regularly between Viehhofen and the ski lift stations (such as the zellamseeXpress)  for example, every 10-20 minutes during peak hours. 

With a valid ski pass, you can use the ski bus and certain public buses in this area for free.

Tip: Ask your accommodation or tourist office about current bus routes, ski bus tickets, and whether your ski pass also works as a public transport ticket.

For customized trips, for example outside bus service hours or at night, you can use taxis or rides via apps such as Uber.

Tip: plan ahead if you need transportation late at night or early in the morning—availability may be more limited in mountain areas.
