Please find below the selection we made for you:

1. Playa de Las Canteras

The most famous city beach, stretching about 3 km.

Golden sand, calm waters thanks to the natural reef (“La Barra”).

Perfect for swimming, snorkeling, surfing, and jogging along the promenade.

Lots of restaurants, cafés, and beach bars along the promenade.

2. Playa de Las Alcaravaneras

Located closer to the port.

More urban and less crowded than Las Canteras.

Popular for sailing, windsurfing, and paddleboarding.

3. Playa de La Laja

Near the port area.

Small and sandy, with calm waters.

Less touristy, mostly visited by locals.

4. Playa de El Confital

A rugged, natural beach on the northern tip of the city.

Famous among surfers for its waves.

Not ideal for sunbathing due to rocky areas, but beautiful for walking and nature photography.

5. Playa de Las Alcaravaneras & Playa del Confital (combined walking route)

Locals often walk or cycle from Las Canteras past the port to El Confital.

Scenic route with views of the city, ocean, and cliffs.

Local tip:

For calmer waters, stick to the central and northern parts of Las Canteras.

For surfing and a more rugged natural beach experience, head to El Confital.

Early morning is the best time to enjoy the beaches without crowds.
