Regional & ski bus (free with guest card) — Using the Regiobus Alpbachtal network, you can travel by bus between villages in the region such as Alpbach, Reith, Kramsach, Brixlegg, Breitenbach, etc.

The bus runs roughly every hour, making it flexible to get from A to B.

If you stay in Alpbachtal, you receive the Alpbachtal Card at your accommodation. This includes free rides on the regional and ski buses.

Cable cars / gondolas — To get up into the mountains (for hiking, skiing, panoramic views, etc.), you can use cable cars such as the Wiedersbergerhornbahn or Markbachjochbahn. For example, the gondola from Alpbach to the top of the Wiedersbergerhorn is ideal for hiking or skiing.

This is convenient for quickly gaining elevation without climbing on foot, and it provides direct access to ski slopes, hiking trails, or panoramic viewpoints.

Car / private transport — You can, of course, also travel by car. Via the highway (Inntal / A12), take the Kramsach/Alpbachtal exit.

There is parking available in and around the village. However, if you are staying in the village, it is often recommended to leave your car and use the bus or cable car.

Taxi & private transport — For flexible transportation, late hours, or when traveling with luggage, taxis are available. For example, Taxi Gabriel Moser offers transport in and around Alpbachtal — including transfers, airport transport, or group transport.

This is useful if you need transportation outside bus hours or for direct connections where buses or cable cars do not reach.

On foot / by bike — Since Alpbach is a small, compact village, many places are reachable on foot. For short distances, walking is often the easiest option. There are also bike and e-bike options to explore the region.
