By buying a typical souvenir, you will bring a piece of Morhiban home with you.

Typical souvenirs would be:

  • Salted-butter caramel (caramel au beurre salé): a very popular sweet treat from Brittany, often sold in jars or tubes. It’s great on crêpes, toast, or ice-cream

  • Breton butter biscuits / galettes / palets: traditional crunchy or buttery cookies typical of the region; often in decorative boxes

  • Local cider: a bottle of Breton cider (from apples of the region) is a classic gift; a drink that is representative of the local terroir

  • Fleur de sel from salt marshes (like from nearby Guérande area): a fine sea salt, often used as a gourmet cooking/savory-souvenir

  • Breton pottery / ceramics (faïence / bowls / mugs / decorative items): handmade ceramics and pottery are sold in many souvenir shops: these ceramics often reflect Breton aesthetic and make nice functional souvenirs
