Your destination offers many restaurants that provide international cuisine. However, it is possible to locate reputable restaurants that offer tasty local food.

Typical food from the region is:

  • Crêpes (sweet, made with wheat flour) and galettes (savory, made with buckwheat flour): served with salted butter, ham & cheese, sausage, or salted-caramel

  • Kouign-amann: a legendary Breton pastry made with layers of dough, butter, and caramelized sugar; crispy, buttery and sweet

  • Seafood: oysters, mussels, scallops, crabs, prawns and lagoustines

  • Cotriade: a traditional Breton fish stew, similar to bouillabaisse but more rustic. Made with local fish, potatoes, and onions

  • Local cheeses: Tome de Rhuys, Fromage au lait cru and goat cheese

  • Pâté Hénaff: a well-known Breton pork pâté in a blue/yellow tin; often eaten on bread or with pickles
