Mallorcan (Mallorquín) cuisine is a delicious blend of Mediterranean flavors with a unique island touch. Here are some typical dishes you should try:

  • Sobrassada – A soft, spreadable cured sausage made from pork and paprika, often eaten with bread.
  • Pa amb oli – Traditional bread rubbed with garlic and tomato, drizzled with olive oil, and topped with cheese, ham, or anchovies.
  • Frito Mallorquín – A stir-fry made with offal (liver, lungs, etc.), potatoes, onions, and peppers.
  • Ensaimada – A spiral-shaped, flaky pastry, sometimes filled with cream, chocolate, or pumpkin jam.
  • Gató de Almendra – A traditional almond cake, often served with almond ice cream.
