  1. Kärntner Nudeln (Carinthian noodles): pasta pockets filled with, for example, quark, potato, herbs — traditionally served with melted butter or crispy bacon.
  2. Cheese dumplings / “Käse¬nudeln” or other variations: a hearty cheese dish that is often found in mountain inns.
  3. Game and hunting themes: In restaurants such as Eggerhof Mallnitz, you will find game dishes made from deer, roe deer, etc.
  4. Regional, homemade products: cheese, meat products, bread from local farms. For example, at the farm shop in Mallnitz: “fresh bread ... Carinthian food.”
