Traditional Tyrolean Cuisine

In Fieberbrunn and the PillerseeTal, you’ll find many cozy mountain huts (“Almhütten”) and guesthouses (Gasthöfe) serving classic Tyrolean dishes.
Typical specialties include Kaiserschmarrn, Tiroler Gröstl, and Käsespätzle (cheese noodles), according to restaurant descriptions in the region.

Schlutzkrapfen

This filled pasta (“semi-circular dough pockets”), often with spinach and quark or mushrooms, is typical of Tyrolean cuisine.

Game Dishes

During the game season (late summer / autumn), restaurants in the region often serve game dishes, for example with mushrooms, red cabbage, and homemade sauces.

Mountain Hut Breakfast

At mountain huts such as Pulvermacher Alm or other huts in the mountains, you can enjoy a typical “Bergfrühstück” (mountain breakfast) – usually with fresh bread, cheese, bacon, and homemade jam.

Regional Drinks

In the region, local schnaps (strong liqueurs), oils, vinegars, and jams are typical culinary souvenirs.

Village Dining Culture

Fieberbrunn has cafés and restaurants such as Alexander’s Aubad Stüberl, Café Brasserie Laurens & Lena, Gasthof Winkelmoos, and others.
These places combine traditional Tyrolean dishes with international cuisine.
